Shifa Somji ’23, originally from Seattle, WA, is majoring in CS at Harvey Mudd College and is incredibly excited to participate in the CIE fellowship program. Shifa is passionate about applying technology to business and believes that the future lies at the intersection of these industries. In high school, she founded Chess4Girls, a non-profit organization dedicated to closing the gender gap in chess. Through CIE, Shifa hopes to apply her extensive technical background to the business world to eventually become an entrepreneur.
