Karan Goel

Karan is a student at Claremont McKenna College in the Class of 2024, planning to major in Economics and Data Science. He has been interested in entrepreneurship from a young age. He has attended an entrepreneurship summer course at Duke University at which he learned how to take an idea to a well thought out pitch. Through this experience he learned about market research, business model development, valuation skills, and marketing tactics, which he (along with a team) applied to their idea, a scheduling app called FreeTime. He has since attempted to start one small business and is in the process of starting another business in the FinTech industry. He hopes to be an entrepreneur or work in the finance industry in the future. He had an internship at a wealth management startup called Kristal.AI, which further fueled his interest in finance. He is also interested in programming, knowing how to code in Java and Python. In his free time, he enjoys photography, following Formula 1 and cricket, and playing table tennis. Karan is excited to be a part of the CIE Fellows Program to learn skills to take his businesses to the next level, as well as collaborate with other innovative minds.
