As a CMC junior dual-majoring in Economics and Public Policy, I am extremely interested in using tech as a driver for positive social impact, particularly in the scope of educational equality and financial inclusion. My initial interest in entrepreneurship was sparked in 8th grade, when I started a mini-business flipping thrifted clothing on C2C e-commerce platforms such as eBay and Mercari. Although profits were often slim, I learned important business lessons surrounding consumer demand, marketing, and customer retention. Through internships at 1Crowd (early stage venture capital firm in Bangalore, India) and Endeavor (nonprofit dedicated to fostering high-impact global entrepreneurship), I gained exposure to working within the vibrant startup ecosystem while immersing myself in different cultures and perspectives. These international experiences were challenging but so rewarding for both my professional and personal growth. Currently, I am interested in a future career in venture capital, impact investing, or product management. As a CIE fellow, I am excited to work on developing my own startup idea, an online platform focused in the mental health treatment space. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, discovering new music and podcasts, and playing guitar.
