Diana Vicezar is an international student from Paraguay planning to double major in Organizational Studies and Economics at Pitzer College. She began her journey as a social entrepreneur at age 16, when she created Mymba Rayhu (Animal Love), a youth-led initiative that seeks to raise awareness about the situation of stray dogs and the consequences of plastic pollution in her country. For the past 3 years, Diana has learned about core operations within an organization and managed to work on social projects with young entrepreneurs from various countries, including the United States. When she is not working on projects, Diana spends her time advising other young people on how to create community initiatives. Diana has represented Paraguay in several international leadership and entrepreneurship programs, such as the Latin American Leadership Academy in Argentina, the EducationUSA Academy in Philadelphia, and the Young Leaders Access Program in New York City. She was recognized by her hometown, AsunciĆ³n, with the 2018 Youth Excellence Award, named one of the 30 Most Influential Young Social Entrepreneurs by the We Are Family Foundation in 2019, Paraguayan Youth Ambassador by the State Department and the United States Embassy in Paraguay, and received the Diana Award in memory of Princess Diana. She has also represented Pitzer College in the Fishbowl Challenge, a business planning competition. Diana is currently working with a team of 4 other students from the United States, India, and Nigeria on a startup called “Renaissance Packaging” that aims to provide more sustainable packaging solutions.
