Mikaela is a student in the Class of 2023 at Claremont McKenna, considering majors in Neuroscience, Human Biology, and Economics. Her experiences during high school, volunteering at a hospital and participating in the Young Executives of Color program at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business, have led her to consider the ways in which entrepreneurship and innovation can play a role in the development and delivery of cutting-edge medical technology around the world and particularly in historically oppressed and marginalized communities. She is also interested in music and advancing the role music technology can play in connecting people. Mikaela is on the varsity track team and a member of CMC’s Black Student Alliance. In her free time, she enjoys photography, surfing, and backpacking. Mikaela is excited to collaborate with and learn from her fellow RLCIE team members.
