Rafael Villanueva

I am a member of the Class of 2024, looking on doing a dual major of Economics and Computer Science. My primary interests are in the food, finance, and health industry and how these industries utilize tech solutions to improve efficiency. I feel the CIE will allow me to combine all these different interests and discover possible business opportunities with these combinations. Growing up around Southeast Asia gives me a different perspective on different financial and economic problems while identifying possible industries for entrepreneurial growth. Being a Filipino, I have a strong desire in improving education especially with the lack of infrastructure there currently is right now. Over my GAP year, I created two businesses. I am the founder of Bubs and Unli Fitness. Bubs being a boba catering service of sorts which sells boba and milk tea to parties and other fairs, weekend stalls. Unli Fitness is an eCommerce fitness business which sells home fitness products so Filipinos can stay in shape during this pandemic. I enjoy spending time with friends, playing basketball, and eating a lot of good food. While my hobbies are watching anime, sneakers, and watches.
