Jorlen is part of the class of 2024 at CMC, intending to major in data science and international relations. She is passionate about data security, surveillance, and privacy, specifically the ethics of tech companies using consumer data and its ramifications. Jorlen wants to work to protect people’s identity and information with innovative ways to think about cybersecurity, hoping to create a safer internet world for all. Coming from Miami, Florida, Jorlen has led an advisory committee for two years, carrying out service projects relating to civic activism and sustainability. She believes in responsible leadership and giving back to the community whether in the public or private sector. In her free time, she also enjoys learning about other cultures, studying languages, and upcycling clothes for fashion.
