Free 2-day Coding Bootcamp – Day 1
February 22 @ 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The QCL will hold a 2-day Coding Bootcamp on February 22nd and 23rd.
This 2-day workshop is run by a non-profit software training group called Data Carpentry whose instructors are specialized in developing and running programming and data science workshops.
This event is an example-driven two-day workshop on basic computing skills using Python. Short tutorials alternate with hands-on practical exercises, and participants are encouraged both to help one another, and to try applying what they have learned to their own research problems during and between sessions.
Topics include Unix Shell (command line interface), Python programming (working with library, data, plots, functions, etc.), and Version control with Git. Workshop materials are available at https://timothylwarren.github.io/2019-02-22-claremont/.
The registration is open at https://qcl-coding-bootcamp-s2019.eventbrite.com — This is a private event only open to CMC, so it’s not searchable on Eventbrite. Seats are limited to 40, so please reserve your seat. * Please only take one of the seats if you can attend both days.
